As a Registered Social Worker, I am here for YOU. I work from a person-centered approach, meaning that the time together is focused on you and your care needs, while being respectful and responsive to your preferences and values. This encompasses the belief that you are the expert of yourself, your life story is important, and you will be empowered to make decisions about your life while including a support network of your choosing. 

 

I strongly believe in a holistic approach to service as well. This means that we will discuss and consider all aspects of your life - physical, emotional/mental, social and spiritual. Each piece has a significant part in building who you are as a person, and each piece deserves to be acknowledged, valued, and understood. I utilize Emotion-Focused Therapy and Internal Family Systems, as well as cognitive behavioural techniques and welcome art into our sessions if you like to get creative.

 

During our initial session, I will conduct a brief, holistic assessment and from there we can agree on how to move forward in your journey. We can start in one of two ways - you have specific goals and need a little guidance in navigating how to achieve those goals OR you're not quite sure where to start and need help in figuring out where to begin. Sometimes it can be difficult to know all this within the first session or two. That's okay! You are worth the time and patience that it can take to start this journey. I will be present, listen intently and support you as you begin to navigate through your emotions, needs, and goals, and will cheer you on through your achievements!

WHERE
Counselling is provided virtually or in-home. I am also open to meeting locally for walk and talk therapy if that is more your style. 

 

COST
Sessions are $120/50 mins. At this time, I do not offer direct billing. You will be provided a receipt within 24 hrs of payment that you can submit to insurance for reimbursement. 

 

PAYMENT
Payment methods currently accepted are cash or e-transfer.
