I spent a majority of my Social Work career in the field of child and family services where I worked alongside families & other professionals to create supportive environments rooted in understanding, compassion, and connection. I went on to gain valuable experience in the healthcare sector, primarily at HSC Women’s Hospital and Children's Hospital, where I assisted families in overcoming barriers to medical and mental health care, facilitated connections to community resources, provided education on child development, and offered counselling during critical moments such as diagnoses, treatment, and recovery. When I am not working or spending time with my family, I can be found expanding my knowledge to better serve my community. As of recent, I have completed the Canadian Perinatal Mental Health Training Foundations & Applied Concepts of Internal Family Systems for Perinatal Populations.

I am a woman, daughter, friend, mother & wife. For as long as I can remember, I have had a deep desire to help others feel heard, validated, and empowered. I strive to create a space of safety, comfort and inclusivity wherever I go, personally and professionally. I have three beautiful children who are the absolute light of my life. I had my daughter at 19 and saw myself through university, successfully earning my Bachelor of Social Work degree in 2013. I had also met my husband during this time and we went on to have two amazing sons. It was during my pregnancy with our last son that I began to explore the role of a doula and a new passion was sparked. While I have always had an eagerness to support women and children, I never knew I could do it in such a capacity as a doula. I became a certified Labour/Birth and Postpartum Doula in 2023 & launched my business, Dragonfly Nest, which includes counselling services.
